ABLE SHEPHERD PREREQUISITE

NOTE: THE POP CLASS IS A PREREQUISITE FOR ALL PHASE ONE ABLE SHEPHERD CLASSES (1-A, 1-B, 1-C,) Course Description: This course is specifically designed for Men and Women with a desire to better protect themselves and those in their care. Whether at home, work, or on the street, those who make the honorable choice to protect others deserve the tools to be successful. This course is an introduction to the same training principles that have been validated and utilized by the US Navy SEAL Teams, Elite Federal Tactical Teams and Law Enforcement organizations across the nation. The foundation developed in this course will be the foundation on which future training may be built (unarmed, knife, pistol, rifle).
ABLE SHEPHERD PROGRAM
Phase I – Pistol, Static
Phase Description: Student will progress at their own pace through the A, B, C classes (in no particular order) where they are presented with foundational pistol skills limited to basic movements. Students move on from Phase 1 by successfully completing the Phase 1 Test in order to progress to Phase 2.
Phase II – Pistol, Dynamic
Phase Description: Student will progress at their own pace through the A, B, C classes (in no particular order) where they are presented with progressive pistol skills followed by the ETA and ETB (Entry Training) with pistol for instruction on tactical movements. Students move on from Phase 2 by successfully completing the Phase 2 Test in order to progress to Phase 3.(ETA,ETB can be taken in any order, and Then Phase Test can be taken)
Phase III – Rifle w/ Pistol, Dynamic
Phase Description: Student will progress at their own pace through the A, B, C classes (in no particular order) where they are presented with progressive rifle and pistol skills followed by the ETA and ETB (Entry Training) with rifle/pistol for instruction on tactical movements. Students move on from Phase 3 by successfully completing the Phase 3 Test. (ETA,ETB can be taken in any order, and Phase Test can be taken). Upon Phase 3 certification students may take the Able Shepherd Test (AST), receive the ABLE SHEPHERD DESIGNATION and advance to Phase 4.
Able Shepherd Test (LIVE)
Description: THREE QUALIFYING ENTRIES (NO MAJOR INFRACTIONS)
- Pistol 3 of 3 = @ 10 ft
- Pistol Stress= 60’- 3 to body, 10’- 3 to body, 40’- 3 to body, 20’- 3 to head, 10’- two body/one head
- Rifle 3 of 3= @ 35 ft
- Rifle Stress= 60’-3 to head from prone, 60’-3 to head from kneeling, 45-3 to body standing from right shoulder 45’-3 to body standing from left shoulder, 21’-3 to body, transition to pistol, 3 to body standing
Phase IV – Rifle w/ Pistol, Advanced
Description: Students now designated as Able Shepherds are introduced to increasingly advanced tactics with both rifle and pistol. Additionally, team members will be asked to attend real-world events where discreet security with advanced capability is required.
ABLE SHEPHERD™ Program Drills
NOTE: PISTOL DRILLS: AVAILABLE TO ANYONE WITHIN THE ABLE SHEPHERD™ Program RIFLE DRILLS: STUDENTS MUST BE IN PHASE 3 (OR ABOVE) OF THE ABLE SHEPHERD™ PROGRAM. Course Description: ABLE SHEPHERD™ Program Drills has been requested by our students as a designated opportunity to refine the skills that have been presented within the ABLE SHEPHERD™ Program Classes. Each of these nights students will be presented with drills that will refine the skills previously presented to improve personal performance. A brief description of the areas covered and what to bring will be listed on the ASRTC Calendar.
Course Description: THE MIX is our community gathering place. At each event we will have a Speaker to cover a specific topic with a presentation for approximately one hour. Followed by Open Range time for an hour and a half. Topics will include, but are not limited to: New Firearms and Gear on the Market, Silencers, Prepper Skills/Planning/Equipment, Tactical Gear setup, Choosing the right optics, Home Defense, Family Defense Training, etc, etc, etc… Come join our group. Bring your new guns and show them off. We have a great group of local, like-minded individuals that would love to meet you! See you there.
Active Shooter Responder 3 Day or 5 Day Course (Contact us for pricing options)
Course Description: This 3 or 5 Day course is specifically designed for groups of 5 or more with an interest in developing the team skills necessary to effectively respond to an Active Shooter Situation. Students choosing to partake in the 3 Day training will be introduced to unarmed tactical foundation, Pistol skills, Entry and Movement with a pistol, and a Final Training Exercise (FTX). Those choosing the 5 Day option will continue on with AR Training, AR Tactical Skills, Live-Fire AR and Pistol, Hostage Recovery, Emergency Medical Training, and a Final Training Exercise.
