Session 1: Armed Tactical Defense
Course Description: In this course students will be presented with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform and understand the 3 handgun safety rules, drawing from a holster, and engaging targets at various distances. Additionally, students will be presented with the skills to engage with targets transitioning from unarmed to armed. In this course students will engage with live adversaries in reality based scenarios making split second decisions in order to defend themselves and those around them.
Session 2: Single Person Armed Tactical Movement
Course Description: In this course students will be presented with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform and understand the 3 handgun safety rules, drawing from a holster and engaging targets at various distances. Additionally, students will be presented with the skills to engage with live adversaries in reality based scenarios making split second decisions in order to defend themselves while moving through multiple rooms.
Session 3: Two Person Entry and Clearance
Course Description: In this course students will be presented with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform and understand the 3 handgun safety rules, drawing from a holster and engaging targets at various distances. Additionally, students will be presented with the skills to engage with live adversaries in reality based scenarios making split second decisions in order to defend themselves and their team while working together through multiple rooms.
Saturday, July 15th - 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Session 4: Hostage Rescue
Course Description: In this course students will be presented with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform and understand the 3 handgun safety rules, drawing from a holster and engaging targets at various distances. Additionally, students will be presented with the skills to engage with live adversaries in reality based scenarios making split second decisions in order to defend themselves and their team of multiple people while working together through multiple rooms to find and rescue a package and get out safely.
Saturday, October 14th - 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Students Are Responsible For the Following Materials:
- Pistol with 3 magazines (if you do not have 3 magazines we will use what you have or provide an alternative for you)
- 100 rounds of target ammunition (no steel ammo)
- approved holster* (if you do not have one, one will be available for use)
- dual magazine pouch
- hearing and eye protection
- Sack lunch
- Water Bottle
*Holster To be approved by Range Staff (Secure on hip @ 3 or 9 o’clock, Covers Trigger, Remains open for 1 handed re-holster)
Attire:
- Clothing and footwear you can move freely in
- Pants and belt to securely hold a holster
PREREQUISITE: There is no prerequisite for these courses. Open to participants 18 years of age or older.
